Yesterday I went over to Winter Park for the Ginader's Family Shoot.  They have a cute little girl and they wanted some great family shots as well as costume shots since the girls are bellydancers =)  We had a great time getting to know eachother better.  Got some great shots at their house with their two adorable beagles who I could not get off of me because they were so loveable LOL...and then we headed over to Park Avenue for the more formal pics and the costume pics.  Their little girl was FULL of energy since she is almost 3 and she kept me on my toes for sure!  She was so fun to follow around and tell her where the lizards were (this was the only way we could get her to look at the camera every once in a while...LOL), but as smart as she is, she caught on very quickly and by the time we got to Park Avenue she knew what we were up to.  Her Mom made her cute little bellydance costume and they even matched, so CUTE!  I loved the colors too.  Mom even had her makeup artist friend come and do her eyes so they were more dramatic for her images, it really came out nice.  I posted a few images so you could all see how much fun we had!

Saturday I went out to Beachcombers grand opening party at their new location (www.shopbeachcombers.com).  Our friends Jodi and Asad did a GREAT job decorating the store all by themselves and it really was very unique.  You should go and check it out!  They specialize in indian bangle bracelets, khussa shoes, henna, and bindi.  They have lot of cool unique stuff to try out!  Tell them KHphotographics sent you!  Lacey and the girls from Florida Tribal Dance (www.floridatribaldance.com) came out for the festivities to entertain.  Even the new children's group performed!  They were so cute!  I posted a few images from the event so you could check it out.  Hope to see you there soon!

Boy was this a busy week at the Global Peace Film Festival! (www.peacefilmfest.org).  I had so muh fun and met a lot of new and amazing people!  Today was the street fair, the big end celebration of the festival.  It was in downtown Winter Park off of Park Avenue and I shot all of the events going on as well as a booth with my work in it.  A special thanks to my husband for coming out on the HOT day to help me and pass out business cards.  I took a stack of 300 business cards with me and came back with around 10, so that was good for me!  They had a dog parade, a tree planting, and other events going on during the day.  It was neat to see the variety of people there and that they were all there for PEACE!  It was really a great cause and I had so much fun and can't wait to do it again next year! 

I was also very excited because the booth across from me was the Paul Mitchell school and I met some great new contacts to come out and help at photo shoots and such!  This is the one thing that has been missing for me is hair stylists so I was beyond excited when I found out how interested they were in helping out.  They are even going to come to the Big Bellydance Photo Shoot!  So if you are signed up, or are going to, we will have makeup AND hair!!!  Yay!

I am very excited that I will be photographing the Global Peace Film Festival starting today and running through Sunday.  Tonight is their opening film and filmmaker discussion in downtown Orlando.  For more information please visit their website www.peacefilmfest.org.  

This morning I went to my friends house to take pictures of their family. They have the cutest little boy ever! Their dog was so cute too...I love animals =) I got some really cute pictures of all of them and had a great time visiting. Their house was so cool, I loved all of the colors and especially their son's Curious George room...too cute! My husband would have been jealous of their Star Wars themed office with toys and posters and everything a young Jedi (or Sith) needs. The again...I do have more Yoda toys then any of them....ha ha ha ha! Most people don't know how much of a nerd I really am =) Anyway, I had to post a few of my favorites....so please feel free to comment! Love Kristen

This past weekend was "Portraits Orientalia" in St. Petersburg with Hip Expressions Dance Studio. It was a lot like The BIg Bellydance Photo Shoot, only two days worth and we also did a backdrop set-up. We went to the Vinoy Hotel, an absolutely BEAUTIFUL historical hotel in the downtown area. Saturday we shot the Loud Zoo dance troupe and some individual shots for Johanna, Karen, and Omaris the instructors of Hip Expressions. Alex (Laceys' husband) of Florida Tribal Dance came as my assistant and he was such a tremendous help! Thanks Alex! We all went out to a nice relaxing dinner afterwards at "Moon Under Water", this awesome British restaurant. My friend Sherry of Sharma Dance came out to say hello and went to dinner with us. We stayed at our friend Kimberly's house (Loud Zoo member) and had a great time even though we were all beat! Sunday was the big day! We went to the hotel around 9am and set up the conference room with the backdrop set-up and got everything organized. Then everyone started to show up and the day went by. We enjoyed food and wine, music, and shooting! I got a ton of compliments on hard we were working and the quality of the images so far. I think over the whole weekend of shooting I did around 1500 images! Yikes! Thats is more than I do for a wedding! I am going to have a lot of editing to do!!!!!! I hope you all can be patient with me for a few weeks! I had such a great time with everyone and enjoyed shooting! You were all so beautiful and I can't wait for you to see all of the wonderful images! Lots of Love! Love Kristen

Better late than never.......took me a while to get to these images..... Saturday morning August 9th I met a few members of the Digital Photography Group of Lake County (link below) at Leu Gardens in Orlando (link below). I had never been to the gardens before so it was a real treat. It was scorchingly hot outside but there was plenty of photo opportunities and it was nice to see everyone again since I have been out of the circle for a while. There were a few new members there and they seemed to enjoy everyone's company. Just click on the link below if you are interested in the group.
