Today I spent the afternoon with my new found friend Deby.  We met at Pointe Orlando on International Drive and grabbed some food, and caught up on chatting, and did a little shooting.  She is the sweetest, kindest, most honest, beautiful girl...I just adore her!  She is so photogenic it makes me sick!  Yes she is from Brazil, so of course she is beautiful right!  I had to share a few images with you to show you just how stunningly beautiful she is =) 

Thanks for spending time with me Deby and listening to all of my worries.  We make a great team!!

Saturday Shainna and I went out to shoot at Lake Louisa State Park in Clermont.  It is my new favorite place!  It was just beautiful, weather, light, everything!  Why didn't I know this place existed???  Oh well, I will be shooting their more often.  Shainna and I have been planning this shoot pretty much since the last time we shot together back in August.  We wanted to do a "Bollywood" themed shoot where she could wear her Sari's and look very picturesque.  I think we accomplished that!  I also had her bring some "regular" clothes so we could do some straight up modeling shots for her portfolio.  We had a really great time, hard at times to get through all of the laughs so we could actually shoot....but I digress =)  I should have known, she is a goofball and when I am on a roll I can tell good jokes...we were both at the top of our game as far as that goes =)  he he eh.  Her porr sister, she was such a BUG help, but I am not sure if she understood much of our humor....either that or she was scared...it would have scared me if I was her....he he he.  Love oyu Shainna!  Thanks again for a GREAT shoot!!

I recieved this comment from a fellow photog Jesse James Allen, whom I admire his work very much....and I had to share it with you.  It brought tears to my eyes,

What an AWESOME time I ahd at "Fab Fringe" on Monday night at the Shakespeare Theatre!  Beth Marshall of the Fringe Festival asked me to come out and take some pictures and get to know everyone and I was much obliged.  What a fantastic group of fabulously talented, creative, and unique personalities I have ever seen!  I had so much fun and was having a hard time taking pictures because I was laughing so much.  My eyes tend to tear up when I am laughing really hard so I was really relying on my autofocus to do most of the work!  I can NOT wait for the Fringe Festival in May and to see what exciting new things these unbelievable people will come up with...so until then...see you all soon at the preview in April when I come back from Italy!

Sunday was the Florida Tribal Dance Networking Event at BEachcomber's in College Park.  Of course we always have sooooo much fun together and we were all very excited for this first time special occasion.  Lacey and Laura put together a networking event where we could all advertise as a group and say "hey, look at us, we are a package deal".  They did a great job putting the event together and performing with Black V and Blue Caravan!  Although not a whole lot of people showed up even after RSVPing "yes", we still made the most of it and had a great time =)  Black V performed their new choreography that they were taking to TribalCon in Atlanta and it was AWESOME.  No matter how many times I see them perform through my camera lens, they still amaze me.  I could never get tired of watching them!  They are all so great and just wonderful people.  We have really built a relationship and I love to watch them grow and flourish. I am so proud of Lacey and how far she has come in the past two years.  She will only continue to do that.  I have her to thank for a lot of things in my own business that I would not have managed without her.  She has introduced me to some pretty significant dancers and dance companies and advertised the photos I have taken and just has been so great to me.  I owe her a lot and I don't know if I have ever thanked her for it.  Well I am now!

I was so excited when Skye contacted me and said "you are the only person I would want to capture my pregnancy"...she is such a sweet and beautiful person both inside and out.  We recently reconnected now that she is well on her way to becoming a Mommy!  She is having a little boy and to celebrate we did a really fun and creative photo-shoot.  Skye emailed me and said..."I am going to be a fairy...what do you think?"...I was like AWESOME, so creative, and definately SO Skye.  I knew I was meant to do this photoshoot at that point, he he eh.  Now to find the right place for such an inspiring session!  Skye told me of her midwife's home in Winter Springs where she lived on 10 acres, tall grass, a reflecting pool...I thought PERFECT...I had no idea just HOW perfect the place would be.  As I turned on winding unpaved roads in the middle of seemingly nowhere, I actually found the house, and without a GPS!  Not that it would have gotten me there anyway...The house was large and colorful and as soon as we stepped in the backyard I was in awe!  A large circular shaped reflecting pool was in the center, we turned around the corner to find large canopied trees, then a large pond and a field of tall grass...this place was PERFECT to say the least!  We started at the reflecting pool and went on from there.  We did solo shots first and then started adding her hubby, Max, into the picture.  What a beautiful couple.  I laughed because Max was so easy (once he woke up from his nap in the car) to work with.  He just posed himself and I didnt have to do anything but snap the image.  They are both very much into the reniassance festival scene (I know, how fitting right?) so he wore this amazing outfit that just took my breath away when I saw them together.  See for yourself in the images below!!!!  Hope you all enjoy viewing them as much as I did creating them with Skye and Max.

I am the assistant organizer for the "Central Florida Models and Photography Meetup Group" and we went out and did a shoot at Lake Louisa State Park in Clermont over the weekend.  We had a BLAST to say the least!  It is always nice to step away from the regular shoots and just do something for fun.  We had some great models and it was just a beautiful day.  And to think this place is just minutes from my house!  I had never even been there.  I will definately be using this place for future shoots, if you have never been there you should go!  Check out the pix and see for yourself!

I have been working a lot with the Maitland Art Center and they invited me to aprticipate in a Frist Thursdays event at the Orlando Museum of Art.  The show was entitled RS:21.  RS stands for "Research Studio" and "21" is for "21st Century".  The art center used to be called the Research Studio back int he day =)  For more info you can check out the website at www.maitlandartcenter.org.  We had a great time!  Lots of cool art work and very unique installations.  The art center asked me to display a slideshow of images that I had taken on my very first trip there.  I entitled it "Frist Impressions" sinc ethat was my VERY first impression. 

Hope you all enjoy the images and get a chance to visit the Maitland Art Center if you have not had the chance, it is a very cool place and you will recognize it from a lot of my pictures =)

The Sweetheart Photo Sessions were such a big hit!  A lot of people have been asking me about doing boudoir and pin-up photography so I thought Valentine's would be the perfect opportunity to do it!  Oh my gosh, I had no idea the response I would recieve.  I booked the first session full within less than a week after announcing it in my newsletter.  Then I had a waiting list so I did another one the following weekend!  We had so much fun and got some great shots.  All of my models were just amazing.  We will definately be doing this more often and for Valentine's Day every year =)  I was getting responses from everywhere after posting these images.  I have two more parties booked!  Yay!  Hope you all enjoy the images and please feel free to comment =)
