Brittany and Chad's E-Session

Brittany and Chad are my August 2010 bride and groom and I was so excited to meet them while I was in New Orleans for Partnercon!  After David Beckstead’s Workshop I met them in Jackson Square for a hot (as in one hot couple) night shoot!  We had so much fun getting to know eachother and going over all the details of their wedding next year in the West Bank.  My dear cousin Cheryl introduced me to Brittany on Facebook and we just hit it off right away!  Thanks Cheryl!!!  And even though Brittany wore some very uncomfortable high heels (if you have been to New Orleans you know about the cobblestone streets) and we stopped and bought her some flip flops..LOL…we had a fabulous time!  We saw one of my favorite street performers on the corner in Jackson Square (I have seen him every time I have been in the quarter for the past year), he is a very tall African-American man who plays the violin and he is very sweet and generous…oooo and EXTREMELY talented!  He played some music for Brittany and Chad so they could dance together on the street while I documented the moment with my camera.  It was quite a nice end to the evening!  Love you guys and cant wait to be a part of your big day!!!

Sarah and Kevin are engaged!

My cousin Sarah just got engaged!!!!! I am so happy for her and Kevin! We picked them up from the airport in Orlando and took them to her parents house in Ormond for pictures and a BBQ. We had so much fun! It was so nice to see everyone.

Kevin, her fiance, will be leaving for Panama on a mission with the Peace Corps for college and his final thesis and will be gone for two years! So it was very special to take their pictures before he left. We will be thinking of you Kevin!!!!!!!!

Sandy & Mark's E-Session

Sandy and Mark are such an awesome couple!  I first met Sandy at a model shoot back in January and we hit it off right away.  Come to find out she was engaged and looking for a photographer and she just so happened to find one =)  he he he.  We decided to meet at Pointe Orlando for their pictures and to sit and talk about the wedding details since I just came back from Italy.  Sandy wasn’t sure if they wanted to do their pictures that day because Mark got a haircut and apparently cut it too short…lol.  But we talked them into it and ended up having a great time!  Our favorite pictures are the ones of the shadows on the wall…we were just walking past and the sun was setting and there was this huge beautiful plain wall that had the shadows of the lamp posts on them.  So I told them to stand back until I could see them under the posts and we got some very creative shots.  They are so much fun together and very entertaining.  And one of the few couples who understands my husband and I’s level of scarcasm…..it was great!  I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in March of next year and continue to hang out with them!  Love you guys!

Padma & Ricky's Engagement Ceremony

Padma and Ricky are so sweet together and ever since their Bollywood style shoot and the three sisters shoot I was very much looking forward to working with their family again in documenting their engagement ceremony.

Even though I was so unbelievably sick at the ceremony, I pulled through and got some great shots.  I had to run to the bathroom a couple of times but they were all very patient with me.  Lol.  My hubby and I designed them a Bollywood themed movie poster for their guests to sign instead of a guest book.  This is something that we offer a lot of our clients so it was nice to see one through.  Padma’s Dad is a printer and he took the design in and had it professionally printed and mounted and it came out beautifully as you will see below!

I don’t know much about Indian culture, but what I do know is that they have a fabulous time and there is a party for just about everything!  They have great food and culture and I look forward to also documenting their wedding next year!

Love K
